It is with deepest sympathy that the California National Guard announces the death of Sergeant First Class Daniel Ronald Scheile, age 37. Sergeant First Class Scheile died as a result of an IED and small arms fire in Baghdad, Iraq on 24 September 2005. He is survived by his wife, father, mother and two daughters.
Sergeant First Class Scheile enlisted in the California Army National Guard in October of 1987. During his career with the California Army National Guard he has served with the 570th Military Police Company, 579th Engineer Battalion and elements of the 1st Battalion, 184th Infantry. Sergeant First Class Scheile loved his family, his cats, motorcycles, and X-box. In civilian life he partnered with his father in the masonry business.
