SERVICE - Community Relations

Mission

COMMUNITY.jpg

Our California National Guard Community Relations Program strives to educate Californians on the missions and role of the National Guard through active involvement in local neighborhoods. We have units in many counties throughout the state and aspire to be a good neighbor and strong community partner.

Requesters must recognize that "real-world" contingencies and training requirements take precedence over public events and any aircraft assets "promised," may be required to perform their assigned tasking and therefore, subject to non-availability at the last moment.

NOTICE:
July 14, 2015 - Although the government shutdown is no longer in effect, we are limited in our ability to support Air Force/Army flyovers and aircraft static displays.  There are some additional restrictions that vary between the use of Air Guard and Army Guard assets. It is best to submit your request for review.

As a community-based organization, the California National Guard supports and participates in events throughout the state to benefit our citizens and give them insight into their National Guard. These events, such as parades, ceremonies and air shows are as important to us as they are to the groups and communities that sponsor them.
